I like the fact that the activity uses everyday household items that any student should be able to find. I've seen liquid thermometers before but I never knew you could make one. I also like the open ended questions during circle time to envoke prior knowledge. Will students be in groups to do this experiment or will each student make their own?
Activity was great! I never knew you could make a thermometer! Would you have the students make these in groups, pairs, or individually?
